is there a tool I can buy to cut through the stuff? I've never used it, but the cake I'm. Akin fir my brother's wedding is to large to purchase a cake drum for ( at least up here). Any tips or tricks?
TIA!
I bought a hot knife from Michaels. I found it in the wood working section. You plug it in and the blade heats up and then its very easy to cut through the foam.
You can also use an exacto knife. But it's difficult to cut a circle with clean edges. You could also use a scroll saw, but you might have issues with clean edges. I've never used a hot knife before, so I can't compare.
There's a great tool...it was discussed in this thread: http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=680634&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0
Holy typos Batman! That's what I get for posting from my ipad, lol. Thanks, I'll look for the hot knife, I might even have a coupon.
