This might be stupid question but...
Well I have Tendonitis & my hands hurt when I knead the fondant to mix in the color. My problem is mostly with achieving dark colors. So I was wondering does anyone knead it with thier KA mixer ofcourse using the C-Hook?? Does it loose its elasticity??

TIA

I've kneaded fondant with my mixer many times and it works great and saves you so much time.

I make MMF with my mixer all the time. I always add the color to it before I add the PS.

I hate trying to knead it all by hand. I do as much as I can in my mixer (which is usually all of it if it's not too big of a batch), then finish by hand. I find sometimes that if I pull the fondant out when it seems like it could still use a little sugar, but then let it sit wrapped for a bit, it stiffens a little and becomes less sticky. I think being kneaded so consistently in the mixer keeps it nice and warm and sticky longer than if you were doing it by hand.
