Alright I want to try to make a cake with rkt. I know how to make them that's about it. I need to know the basics really
1. Is it okay to carve and mold with rkt?
2. Once I have my shape do I cover with frosting? And can I use the canned stuff? Or is buttercream better?
I have heard many people use ganache....but when I make ganache it never really gets very firm are there any good recipes for rkt? And do I just pour it right over the cake?
3. If I need to put a dowel through it was is the best way?
thanks so much everyone

I've only done it a couple of times, but I can definitely tell you NOT to use butter, only the cereal and marshmallows.

I cover my RKT's with fondant, it sticks nicely. Not sure about covering them with buttercream.
