Did any of you order the 1lb. gummy bear kit from Wilton? I received an email saying that they would only be available for a limited time so I ordered one. It came today. The bear mold is smaller than I expected; I think that it would be about 6" tall when made. I can't beleive that it's going to be a pound. icon_smile.gif I will post a picture of it when I get it made. I found a recipe online for homemade gummy bears so I don't have to purchase their refills that seemed a little high priced to me. icon_smile.gif I can't wait to try it.

I ordered it, my shipment tracking says it should be here Monday icon_biggrin.gif I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Do you mind sharing the link to the recipe you found? Like you, I didn't buy the refills bc I thought they were a bit too pricey

Upon further review, the final bear would be 4.5" tall. I have not tried this recipe so I cannot make any disclaimer's about it. If you google homemade gummy bears, this is also a video that you can watch that uses the same ingredients as this recipe.

I will not be making until probably next week, so if you make yours, make sure you post and let us know how it turne out.

I finally made mine from the kit that came with it. Let's see if this will let me post a picture. They deleted it from the picture galleries because it wasn't decorated.

Now you all have me wanting to get one of the molds. Do they stand on their own or do you need to lay them down?

He stands on his own as long as you put him together correctly. You can smack his forhead and bobs back and forth like a bobble head.

Here is a link to where its posted on facebook since this site won't let me attach anything. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150304038563079.415201.582708078#!/photo.php?fbid=10150431703078079&set=a.10150304038563079.415201.582708078&type=1&theater

Don't know if that link will work because I've never tried that before.
