I really want to try something i had seen on a blog it's called the vertical cake and I believe it was covered in rosettes. But what i was thinking of doing for the 4th of July cake doing a red velvet, a white cake tinted blue and then a white chocolate cake. So it would be red, white and blue on the inside. But I am stumped as to what to do for the outside. I believe it would end being a 3 tiered cake. What have y'all done? What do you think is really cool on a 4 of July cake.
I haven't done a cake in months and I really want to do one just no inspiration right now.

That's the website where i found the vertical cake.

I think your best bet for ideas would be the 4th of July gallery... http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&aid=27
