I am making my own cake boards to cut down cost, I use regular cardboard and was wanting to know if anyone has ever used contact paper to cover their boards. I know that contact paper is water proof and has a sticky back that should adhere to cardboard instead of using foil or wax paper.

Thank you ,

You can use it to cover a base board as long as your cake is on its own board, but Contact Paper isn't food safe. Cake circles don't need to be coveredthey're made for cake "as is", but if you're covering anywayyou can use Glad Press'n Seal.
