Hey fellow cake makers..need your help. I am required to make a Bollywood themed cake which requires some really bright colors and I mean really bright. I do not have an airbrush and the gel paste colors I use don't give me the maroon or hot pink I need. Any suggestions??????

You could try powdered colors - even if you use a lot of them, they won't water down your fondant. Or you could use a WHOLE lot of gel color plus some extra powdered sugar in the fondant when you knead it after coloring it.

I found those typres of colors at Hobby Lobby (amicolor) which is the last cake I made in my pics beautiful colors, I haven't seen them at Michaels or AC Moore though can buy them on line if you don't have a Hobby Lobby. HTH

Thank you for ur replies.. I am in Sydney and we don't have that brand here so I will need to give powdered color and gel paste a try.
