I'm going to be making some number 1 lollie pops for my daughters 1st birthday. Can I use Almond Bark that you could buy in the big bars from walmart? Or does it have to be the candy melts?

I've never made these so ANY tips!!

I plan to do designs on them, should I wait until I pop them out or put the dots in the mold and then pour the chocolate in?

And, what do you use to color white chocolate? Gel color or liquid food color?

I can help with some of the questions.

You can use anything, including real chocolate.

Color chocolate with colors specifically for chocolate or combine melts. You should not use water based colors. I guess this goes for melts too... I've never used them, but hopefully someone will chime in. I've only used the melts straight to make letters on cakes.

You can dot the mold with the contrasting color, let it harden, then add the other color.
