Hello Everyone,

I am making my husband an iPad cake for his birthday next weekend, and will be using an edible image for the display - however, I want to make it look "shiny" so it looks more realistic. After the Edible Image dries on the cake, is it okay to put a coat of vodka/corn syrup over it, or will that smear the image? I've only used edible images a couple of times so I'm still a novice in this area.

Thanks everyone!

I think it will smear the ink. The colors will run and the slightest touch of a brush could ruin it.

maybe you could try spraying it with a pearl lustre spray to give it a little shine??
