Hello! I am moving to Grand Rapids next month and was wondering if there is a cake supply store in town? If so, do they sell hi-ratio shortening? I am making a wedding cake for a friend in July and am trying to figure out if I need to stock up before I move or if items like high-ratio and cake drums are readily available in GR. Thanks!

I am starting to think that GR doesn't have one, which would be a bummer. I found one in Jackson, MI, which I think is about 1 1/2 hours away. Does anyone know of one closer--maybe in Lansing, if GR doesn't have one?

I get my hi-ratio from Gordon's Foods. You have to order it in 50 pd. cube. They have that in GR.

PM me on supply store.

There is a supply store on Alpine Ave. in Grand Rapids. I get pastry fillings, tips, and candy molds there. I get some things from Hobby Lobby and Michael's. If there is anything else I need and can't get it here, I go to Country Kitchen. It is about a 2 hour drive from Grand Rapids.
