How can I make SMBC white? I add a touch of violet to my American shortening/butter/powdered sugar BC and it works great to achieve a white color. It doesn't work on SMBC. Check out the pic. I hope I posted it right. The description says vanilla SBMC and it looks white. I PM'd the OP a long time ago and never received a response. Any suggestions?
I wonder if it could be made with shortening instead of butter and some clear butter flavor added with the vanilla? I've only made SMBC once and I used butter.
