Hi all,
I'm trying to make a fondant bow that will need to be attached to the side of my cake. The cake is two tier and the bow will be placed on the side fo the top layer, approximately in the middle of it. The bow is not a full bow, it is simply the two loops with ribbon hanging down. TI'm not sure how I should place the bow so it doesnt fall off or come apart. Any ideas and would anyone recommend doing the bow from 1/2 fondant and 1/2 gum paste or should I just stick to one or the other?? Please help, so confused, thanks...

Use some royal icing to attach the bow on and think to gum paste! That way you can roll it thinner to make the bow less heavy so it would have a less chance of falling off! icon_smile.gif HTH
