My Layers Came Out To Thin- Now What? Asap

I am making a 3 tier cake- 6'', 8'' and a 10'' dummy. The 8'' layers came out too thin-like alittle more than an inch tall, with a dome. Should I go bake another layer, or can i build it up with icing in the middle?
Bake another layer.
Measure your pans too...I used to have a pair of supposedly 8" pans that were actually closer to 9"...no wonder they always made short layers since I was only putting in enough batter for 8" layers.

If you do have the time - i would go bake another layer.
If you do *fill* it - don't fill with icing per sae - either BC, Ganache or a filling more softer on the pallette than icing.
Perhaps you didn't mean *icing* - as in icing for cookies.
Perhaps it is just my interpitation from where i live - iykwim.
Good grief - how confusing is that what i just wrote.
Anyone care to type clearer what i am trying to say.
Blue goes and bangs head against wall.
Bluehue.
I got what you mean. I meant buttercream, but I think I'll just go bake a layer quick, I dont want to have this cake flop, so best to start off right

Good idea -
Like with anything we *build* start with a good foundation and the structure will be supportive
Glad you understood my previous post
