Good Morning! I am in the process of making a high heel shoe cake. I made the shoe yesterday. IIt sunk in on the sides over night. icon_sad.gif I wonder if there is any way to re soften the gumpaste slightly so I can reposition the dent? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I wonder if you put it in a plastic container with something damp, it might absorb the moisture and soften up for you. Maybe put a fresh hunk of fondant or a wet paper towel in a bowl in the corner of the box (so it is not touching the shoe.)

Place in the microwave for a few seconds at a time to soften the gumpaste.
When it is pliable enough stuff the area that has sunken in with plastic wrap, paper towels, tissues, anything that will keep the area from sinking in again.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. The mircrowave did help somewhat but Im afraid I have to do it over. Oh well, guess this is how we learn
