Last night (wed) I did the first round of decorating with meringue powder buttercream (karen's cookies recipe--no real butter). But, the last time I tried it it didn't work well thinning it with water, so this time I used milk (1/4-1/2 c).

This morning I'm in a panic wondering it these will have to be refrigerated so the icing won't go bad. If I don't refrigerate, will they be okay to eat on Sunday.

Please help! You all are so awesome at these types of thing!

it'll be fine. I've never used that recipe, but thinning a recipe that doesn't normally need refrigerated with a little milk won't do anything. The amount of sugar in it will stabilize it. It won't go bad sitting out. I leave my buttercreamed cake with real butter out for days and it's fine.
