Hi new to the site and I just tried my first cake using fondant made the marshmallow kind. How far ahead can these cakes be made and stored and mine i noticed that the fondant has hardened up after about 2 days and was covered with tinfoil. Is not real hard you can eat it and taste good but wondered is it suppose to do that. Because some of the cakes the items look soft and shiny how do you get that affect. This was just my practice cake but making one for a baby shower and i wont it to be very pretty and not hard like clay on the day of the shower. Any tips or do i just need to make it the day of the shower?
