Hi everyone!

I have a question. I'm going to be building a cupcake stand for a wedding that needs to hold 150 cupcakes with a 6" cake on top. I'd like to do it in three cupcake tiers, with the cake on a fourth tier on top. Does anyone know what sort of dimensions are needed? I'm making large sized cupcakes, and they will be on square tiers.

Thanks everyone.

Thank you. I did see that thread, and unfortunately, it's not quite big enough. My idea is to do square tiers with a center column going down the middle. I just don't know how to calculate the tier size. I do want to make a stand like the one in the link you showed me though, it's fantastic!

Hi, I actually figured out the calculations. I just assumed a 3" sq per cupcake, with a 6" diameter centre for support. I drew that out and added it all up and came up with some measurements. Now I can build a cupcake stand that can hold up to 200 cupcakes!
