I cover the RKT with candy melts to make the surface smooth first. Then just cover with fondant. If the melts harden and dry before putting the fondant on, dampen it with a little water to give the fondant something to stick to.

Ook so i dip the rkt in the chocolate, when i cover with fondant just as if i were covering a cake?

I saw on youtube they cover the rkt in fondant piece by piece

I don't really dip the piece in the chocolate, I spread it on the RKT with a small spatula or even just use my fingers in the hard to get to spots. Then I smooth it out with my fingers until all the bumps are gone. Sometimes it takes more than one coat to cover all the bumps. But it also makes the RKT really durable so it doesn't fall apart.

I guess depending on what you are covering, you would cover each piece separatly. I make a RKT Mickey Mouse and I did cover each piece individually and then put it all together.
