I have an order for a 70th birthday cake, one tiered 12 or 14'' as a gift to the celebrant (female).
Somehow I haven't seen options here that I really like,
all the ideas that are ''mature enough'' come in 2 or 3 tiers.

How about just using flowers or something she likes. I have one in my photos that I made for my husband's aunt's 89th birthday. She likes flowers and birds so I incorporated that. I also sometimes just write "Birthday Blessings". I really like the old fashioned piped cakes with just some flowers and ruffles or dropped strings on the sides too. Hope that helps.
