Does the Americolor food color pens contain and alcohol in them? The reason I am asking I thought about seeing if they would work on coloring the cake candles. But I didn't want to if they had alcohol in them and it blow up everywhere. I am making my daughters birthday cake next weekend and she will be 15, so I am buying the number candles but #1 they won't match the cake and #2 they most of the time don't match each other, so I thought about trying to color them 1 color to match the cake. It will be a tiered cake and I really don't want to mess the look of it up placing 15 individual candles. Any of you professionals that may have better ideas of what to do. TIA

I doubt seriously the amount of alcohol (if there is any) that would be in a colored writer would be enough to 'blow-up' anything. Alcohol evaporates...which is why you use it to mix with luster dusts and such.
