I swear I saw some time ago an article or post from someone on this site in regards to the puffy based cake stand. I have typed everything I can think into the search and nothing remotely comparable comes up. Does anyone have instructions they would be willing to share? Thanks in advance for your help. You can see the base on earlenes site link below.

Earlene uses elastic in her puff base. I make puff bases using an alternative method. Check out my tutorial at: http://community.webshots.com/user/abbyniemeier Click on the puffed base album. Then click on each picture individually in the album and read the instructions below the picture.

I found directions for the one I used with this cake on flickr... similar idea to the puffy base but fabric is pulled tighter http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1891646

Thanks everyone for the replies, they gave a lot of information and as usual you are worksavers. In this case I have tried a lot of different sites.
