I am planning to make this daffodil cake next weekend.

If I make the daffodils out of gumpaste and cover the cake in buttercream, how should I attach the flowers? (I am going to use a half ball pan for the top) Will they stay in place with the buttercream only? Or should I somehow wire them or use toothpicks? I'm mostly worried about the ones on the sides.

TIA for any suggestions.

I made a cake just like that last week lol, I used sugarpaste though, I attatched the flowers with a little RI, sorry I cant help with the buttercream method, the only thing I would think of using would be some pasta or a coctail stick, however if you use these, dont forget to tell the customer. Good luck hun x
