Does anyone know if I can use canola oil instead of vegetable oil when making a box cake? I don't usually make box cakes, but this is a cake needed quick and I don't have vegetable oil and no way of going to get any. icon_sad.gif

Thanks.

It will be fine. Canola oil is veg. oil. Some consider it to be healthier.

I used to use vegetable oil, but I've been using canola oil for several years now with great results in my baking.

Thank you so much! The cake turned out wonderfully and I think I will use that from now on.
