Hi everyone,
I just made my first ever fondant figures last night and left them to dry before putting them on the cake later today for a party tomorrow night. My sister asked this morning what I am going to do to keep them from drying out too much and cracking. Is there something I need to do to prevent this? I would hate for them to crack before the party! If it matters, I am in Denver where it is especially dry. I am adding a picture so you can see what I made in case the size or shape matters.

Thanks!!

i would think cracking would be caused by some pressure pushing on the fondant. just make sure any long limbs are supported well while drying. make sure all sides have a chance to dry evenly (i.e. if it's something flat, flip it over so the bottom has more contact with air).
