Just wondering if I am doing something wrong. I have made the WASC cake twice now and both times the flavor is delicious but the texture is very rubbery. Just wondering if someone has an answer.
Thanks

Are you following the directions EXACTLY? Overmixing can cause a rubbery texture. How long are you mixing for? Are you using a stand mixer or hand mixture?
I have never had this problem with WASC. I have found using both the DH and BC cake mixes both yield excellent results.
Good luck - it's a good cake and worth another try! icon_smile.gif

I've also never had a problem with it. I use it every time... are you baking them all the way thru, to where the cake starts to pull away from the pan? I wonder if maybe they're a little underdone, causing a rubbery texture? Just a thought.
