Wondering if I can refrigerate cake batter to be used later? I am making a 6 inch teir and have extra batter. I only have one pan and need to bake in it twice. If I refrigerate the batter will my results stay normal?

I have done this only when baking the second right after the first. I wouldn't let it sit for more than 2 hrs or so. I have had no problems with it.

lots of decorators on this site, freeze any left over batter. Use later. You can use the left over batter and add to your fresh batter. This subject has been brought up many times , that is how i know you can do this way. hth they store it in freezer bags.
