Hi,

Okay I am new at this but i really wanted to make some cupcakes and cookies covered in fondant for my sons 1st bday party! Just the other day i was experimenting with fondant and i made the cupcakes, shapes and all. Once i place the fondant on the cupcake i placed the cupcakes in a tight air container, by morning the fondant was melted! icon_eek.gif ...Can someone please help me?! Why did it melt and how can i keep that from happening? Is it okay to do the cupcakes and cookies a day before the party?

Thanks for the help

The air tight container is the problem. You don't need to seal it up quite so much.

So just leaving out in regular room temp should be fine?

Just put them in a container that is not air tight. Air tight is great for a few hours if want excess powdered sugar to go away, though. icon_smile.gif
