How do you charge for delivery/setup for a cake? I have to quote a cake delivery that is 45 km one way or 28 milkes on way.

Thanks for your help.

We have and IRD (think your IRS) figure of .62c per kilometre in New Zealand for use of your vehicle. I usually figure out the mileage x .62cpkm this is my petrol cost - then I work out how long I'll be away door to door and figure my hourly rate into this .... then I get creative and either round up or down to the nearest $10 depending on how much of a hassle it is.

Don't forget to add in your labor cost. You don't work/drive for free.

oops, meant to say add the petrol cost plus the hourly (labour) cost together and then round up/down). icon_cool.gif

Thank you for your help! I also called around to get an idea of what others charge. Seems like a lot but with the distance involved and the price of gas going up and up I think I charged okay.

Thanks!
