help, please! I am making a cupcake stand from cake drums (foil-covered) and styrofoam separators. I cant seem to find a glue that will work with both styro. and foil (hot glue doesnt work on styro and stryo glue doesnt work on foil...). What do you use?
I've never done this but I would suggest Gorilla Glue. Does it HAVE to be glued or can it just be stacked?? It might save you some heartache if it can be stacked without glue.

I don't know what hot glue you're using, but I had to use hot glue today to glue my Styrofoam to my cake board. The super glue, crazy glue and spray adhesive didn't work at all for me. So, I brought out my hot glue gun and glued it. It worked for me. I can attach a picture if you want me too.
I've made one (or two) and I use Aleene's Tacky Glue (Gold Bottle).
I also use this glue to cover the edge of the rounds with 1/4 ribbon to match the theme/cuppies - the glue allows you to secure the ribbon - and it easily peals off - drys clear - washable - no odor
The stands are in my pictures (white - 3 tiers) - I reuse them, touch up the paint and change out the ribbon... they are pretty sturdy and no one knows that they are styro and cake boards??
