My bride wants a tall, skinny cake. To match the picture she has shown me, I think I would need to make a 3 layer 2" cake for each tier. I have only made wedding cakes with 2 layer 2" tiers. Will 3 layers be too tall, or tooo unsteady? Or would it look awkward? HELP

I have made a cake before that was 3-2" layers and the problem I had was when I stacked all 3 together they did bulge a bit so the sides were not as smooth as I would have liked. You could do 2-3" layers which would probably work better.

ganache would prevent the scary bulge...

That kind of sounds like those tall cupcakes I saw once on here. THere's a website that shows how they are made, but its in another language. But the pictures tell everything. Here's the link:
