make ganache and then place sliced strawberries on top of it and then place your next layer of cake on top of it

Here's a recipe for whipped ganache:

I would make my ganache and let it cool to room temp for a spreadable consistency, put a layer of ganache down on my lower layer and then lay fresh cut strawberries on top. Put your top layer of cake on and decorate like normal.

I would agree with the previous posters. When you work with chocolate, water is always an issue. One little speck of water will cause chocolate to sieze. This makes the chocolate crumbly. Strawberries are bound to have water in them, so you wouldn't want to put them directly into the ganache. But, I don't see a problem with laying them on the ganache.

That is my DD's favorite combination so I took a picture of it for her! I used whipped ganache and sliced strawberries for her Juicy purse cake.
