I have heard of sugarveil but has never used it. What exactly is it? Can I make my own or do I have to order it off online. What is so special about it. Just wondering.
Its a flexible icing have never seen a recipe to make your own but you never know! If you google sugar veil you can get the site that explains all about it in detail. It saya you can make lace, bows etc .
Sugar Veil pipes like royal icing, but when it drys (cures) it's still flexible. I just started using it about a month ago to pipe some intricate lacework. It allowed me to pipe on a flat surface, tracing a pattern underneath my parchment paper. Once it cured I could then place them on the cake and bend it to the curvature without fear of it breaking. It's neat stuff!
