Don't want to have to make too much MMF but like the flavor. Also don't want to have to spend the money on store-bought and don't care for flavor too much. Anyone have any experience with combining the two? Is the consistency nice and smooth and will it cover cake well? Does it taste ok?

Thanks in advance!

I have mixed Wilton with MMF and it was really nice and smooth to work with and did wonders for the taste of the Wilton. I have mixed a bit of Satin Ice with MMF as well. But not for an entire cake.

I always use Rhonda's ultimate MMF and it's so tasty, fast to make and good to work with that I don't need to use bought (nor can I afford it as a hobby baker). It also lasts months in the pantry!
