i have never done a topsy turvy cake and on the angles im ok but what are some ways to support a cake this size that needs to travel 45 minutes away? I could really use your guys's expert opinions....This cake is for my nieghbor thats turning 70 and hes having a suprise birthday party on dec 19th. any and all help is greatly apprieciated!!! thanks in advance!
I love these instructions and it is very sturdy they way they do it .......Also I would only stack 3 for the drive and then when you get there put the top one on, have it all ready with the supports ahead of time. Also if you want you can use this technique but use cardboard cake circles instead of the plastic and then you can stack all 4 and drive a wooden dowel in the middle of the whole thing for extra support for the drive.
oops forgot to attach the link!! Here it is!
