Help With Fruit Filling????

Hey, I made this great strawberry filling but when I tried to ice the cake that it was in, it oozed out! I even put a second layer of bc around the edges but it still runs! Any advice?? I'd REALLY like to use this filling! Thanks!

did you put a dam of buttercream between layers before spreading the filling? That prevents the filling from oozing out.

How much filling did you use?

I did do a dam of bc but it like leaked through, i dunno what happened.

How much filling did you use for what size cake?

MAYBE 1/3 cup for a 6 inch, is that too much?
