I have a cake coming due on Friday with the JETS emblem on it. I was planning on doing a FBCT. As I got to thinking, I figured that it might go over better in fondant. HOWEVER, there is a family member who is highly allergic to nuts. I am not a frequent fondant user so I tend to use Wilton Fondant. Does anyone know if it's allergy friendly or not? I've looked at the package a hundred times but it does not list any allergy precautions.

Do any of you fellow CCers have any experience with fondant and allergies??

Look forward to your input as I would love to save some time (as well as butter, crisco and PS!) and use fondant!

Thanks.

I have a severe nut allergy and I don't trust Wilton because some of their products say 'may contain peanuts' and others don't. To top it off, whenever I have called the company, I get different answers all the time.

So, no Wilton in my house - I use Satin Ice which is nut free.

Hth!

We are a completely nut-free and peanut-free bakery, and we use exclusively Satin Ice fondant.
