Hi I'm new to cooking and I'm planning to buy an electric oven but the electric oven's heat is only up to 270 degrees F. And as far as I can see, the recipes for cakes are requiring 350 to 375 degrees F. Can I improvise on something or whatever? My mom only plans to buy me that electric oven because its portable icon_sad.gif

not going to happen - 270F isnt even gas mark one (im used to working in gas) so i think toast will be the limit.
is it defintely degrees F and not degrees C?

I am curious as to why you need a portable electric oven.
