Hi ... I am new to fondant. I love it but there are a few things that I need clarification on...
1. How far in advance should you bake the cake before you place the fondant on it?
2. How many days can the fondant be on the cake before it starts to dry out? I dont want it to dry out completely... how do I prevent this?
3. If I add flowers and bows how do I keep them from drying out and falling off the cake? I notice that my bow to crack and break away from my cake.
4. I also put the cake in the fridge while I worked on the other layers, but I noticed the fondant became very moist and runny. Should I store it in the fridge as I work on it? If not how should I store it as I work on other layers ... again my concern is the fondant drying out.

I just want to make my cakes look more refined and finished. I experieced this problem with the attached cake. I would appreciate your advice. Thanks!
