I decorated some sugar cookies and had a few problems. First is why did the black outline run? I outlined and then let it dry overnight and most of the next day before I filled them with the orange. The second thing is I seemed to have gotten air bubbles in the icing creating small pockets. Any clue why??

Air bubbles happen, but as soon as I have put the run-in icing on, I go back with a toothpick and burst any bubbles, then push the icing into any spaces left.
