Hi everyone! I am making a baseball cake and I am worried about the red icing for the stitches bleeding onto the white call. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep it from happening? I am using a crusting cream cheese icing. Thanks!!

I have never had it bleed on me. I let the white frosting crust before I add the red flowers, borders, etc. I've never used it with a cream cheese frosting, but if it crusts it should be fine. Just spread some frosting on some wax paper, let it crust and add some red border on top and see how it does.HTH & GL!

I made baseball cupcakes with white fondant and red buttercream stitching. No bleeding at all, they were even refrigerated. I think it should be okay as long as your buttercream is not too loose. I would use cakmaker2's suggestion to do a trial shmear if you are concerned.
