Hi, im realy sorry if ive posted in the wrong section :/
I need to make a cake with a formula 1 mclaren racing car on which is silver. How can i get the silver colouring? Is it best to use a spray or paint on using a brush. Ive seen a spray which is called pearl would this give a silver colour as it looks silver on the cap but im a little unsure. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me icon_smile.gif x

I usually color my fondant/buttercream gray and then spray with a silver or pearl spray. I would avoid painting because I normally can see paint strokes.

I mix silver lustre dust with a little bit of clear vanilla extract and paint it on. That's how I did the accents on the drum cake in my photos.
