I have just bought some Jem face moulds and the instructions say to rub well with Jem Petal Base.

Does anyone know what would be the best substitute?

I can't imagine that marj would be great.

I've never used them before, but was a bit disappointed when they arrived. I thought they would be flexable silicon moulds but they're hard.

Will let you know how they turn out. Using them tomrrow!

You can use Trex instead, you can buy it from any of the supermarkets in the butter aisle.

It's the UK equivalent of Crisco... just white vegetable fat.
