Was wondering wheather anyone has had messages from a food network associate, asking if you would be interested in auditioning for a "national television show"? I got a message today and was wondering if this is a scam or prank?
Thanks
I would agree with playingwithsugar call FN and find out if its a scam or not if it is I am sure they would want to know about it but if its not that is awesome.
Well, Sharon, you would know better than I, since you've been there, done that.

I havent had any dealing with food network prior to this, but it seemed legit when she emailed.
Well everyone, i did recieve another email today and I have an interview on Friday, Still a little weary but I poked around. She is an employee of highnoontv and she is at the extension she gave me...hummm wish me luck!
And Sharon OMG i love your cakes...i been doing cakes for 13 years and fondant for the last year i hope to get as great as you sometime soon!!!
I got the email too. I almost deleted it as spam, but decided to check it out.
So far, I've spoken with the Associate Producer (which is probably code for "gofer" ). She wants me to send her a video of me talking about myself in a "creative" way. I'm thinking of dressing up in a suit of armor.
How exciting...good luck to all of you. Wouldn't that be something. We could all say we knew you when. LOL.
I was contacted by the Food Network too. Yes, it is legit. I have been talking with one of their Assistant Producers. There are several of them and the one assigned to me is also the one who was assigned to a friend of mine who has been on Challenge 3 times. What surprised me is that making an audition video is harder than you would think.
I didnt either Sharon. It is alot of work and to tell you the truth I wouldnt even know when I would have the time to be away from my cakes! Some day!
