I have been asked to do an 18th Birthday cake for my cousin. I am only new to making cakes and have only ever done chocolate paste covered cakes in winter. The problem with this cake, is the birthday is in the hottest month of the year.
I was wondering if I can put paste covered cakes and the paste decorations in the fridge? I know you cant put the fondant ones in the fridge, but Im hoping that chocolate paste is different!
If it cannot go in the fridge, does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how I can keep it cool enough so it will not melt and my decorations wont droop!!?
Any thoughts appreciated!
