My son has decided he wants a Michigan State University football field cake for his birthday treat to take to school. I feel like...BORING!! I have already made a few football field cakes, most recent had a football on top of it, and he said no football. I wanted to make him something fun, and maybe a little over the top...how do i make a football field exciting?

Hmmm that's a tough one...maybe make the goal posts 3D out of gumpaste and make the mascot hanging off the post? Or make an MSU helmet and their rivals' helmet kinda clashing in the middle of the field?

Thank you for the replies. I think I MIGHT try a stadium cake. The little bugger changed his mind over and over, and he just decided on a football field cake yesterday, and I have to decorate tomorrow. I just couldn't think outside the box. But a stadium might be cool...I am going to have to run to the store and pick up a few more cake supplies
