My MIL is turning 45 on Wednesday and I would liketo do a cake for her. The problem is, I just don't know what. She's into feminine things and likes the colours pink and purple. I thought to put flowers on the cake, just don't know what kind or what medium to do them with. I'm also a beginner with doing flowers. Any ideas would be appreciated...thanks!!!

Fondant rolled roses are easy and pretty, like this cake.

Flat flowers are easy, too. These colors would be easy to adjust to pink and purple.

These flowers are also simple.

I think you need three colors on a cake, so consider pink, purple and light purple or two pinks and a purple, or a little green for the leaves or yellow for the flower centers. Lots of ideas. Good luck.
