My cake-fridge quit cooling sometime yesterday, I know that all my fruit fillings are trash, but I am unsure of the chocolate truffle filling that I had in there.

So my question is...Does Chocolate Truffle Filling have to be refrigerated?

In my experience, the higher the cream to chocolate ratio (more cream), the quicker it will spoil whether in or out of the 'frig. If there's a high choc. content it should be fine out for awhile--possibly even a couple of days. When it goes bad you'll know it: mold, "soured" or both. Do you have a freezer you can put it in?
