I use Word, Powerpoint, any thing really, then just choose your edible printer from the list. You do not need any special software.

leah_s,

Would you look at the gumdropcookieshop monogrammed cookies with the pretty background. Do you think that's something I could do with word, or powerpoint?

If it is I'm close to be ready to get my printer.

Thanks,

You can use any graphics software you want to to create the graphics. I find scrapbooking programs work very well as it is a very similar field. When you go to print, if you are using cookie image sheets which are multiple up, you will need printing software. Most edible imaging companies where you buy your sheets from should have some software for that, most is free.
