I am making a dora cake with water fall. I have my piping gel and color ready to go, but this cake won't be delivered until tomorrow at noon. So do I put the piping gel on now, or wait til the last thing before I head out the door? Please Answer quickly if you can! Thanks,
Rita

I some imes have a problem with my fondant melting in piping gel, so; in my opinion why chance it and wait until tomorrow....

I actually would do it ahead of time and let it set up a bit before delivery/transport. That way if any sliding takes place (the piping gel, not the fondant) you can fix it before the customer gets it.

If it's going on BC, it should be fine. I've never had any problems with piping gel applied in advance on BC cakes.

I've never had problems with fondant, either....but then I always refrigerate, not sure about room temp. I have a stained glass cake I did over fondant and that turned out fine.
