The top of my cupcakes is always sticky after baking. I use the box mix for the cupcakes..could that be the reason?

For my cakes, sometimes they are sticky ..sometimes now..I havent been able to figure out when they are and when they are not....but my cupcakes are always sticky!!!

That has happened to me if I don't let them cool down enough and put them in an airtight container right away where the moisture has no way to escape.

I always do mine from scratch, and it's happened under those circumstances, so I don't think it's the mix.

But maybe someone with lots of experience will answer soon...
